south africa isn't for sissies.

Wow, its been awhile.

But I'm back from South Africa. Jet lag is gone, withdrawal is present. Heartbreak is in full effect. Of course.
There is so much to say about this trip. I saw, felt, experienced SO much.
South Africa is beautiful. In so many ways. And I'm so thankful I got to see it with my own eyes.
I think I left a little piece of my heart there. It really opened my eyes. And did something to our whole team.

And the one thing I have to leave with all of you... is that everyone needs to go and see Africa.
I'm serious though.

You've gotta go to Africa. It'll do something to you. And then you'll thank me for demanding you to go.

good within your promise

Before I say anything, everybody click here right now.

So. I'm hours away of getting on the first of a series of flights to get to my long awaited destination: KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

I am going to Africa.

Yeah, nope. It still, does not feel real.
Like. GUYS. I'm going to Africa! Unreal.
I think it is safe to say that the mental and spiritual journey to get to this exact place in time has been one hugeass whirlwind with a couple of slaps-in-the-faces here and there.
In other words, the pre-trip journey thus far has been EXPONENTIALLY challenging, yet educational. About myself, about my faith, about my fellow Christ-followers, about life. About a whole lot of things.

Now, I can finally say... I am extremely excited to experience whatever I will experience on this trip.
I'm going in with an open mind. And I really hope to soak up each and every moment. Because trips always fly right by and that part always breaks my heart.

Stay tuned, folks.

until my very last breath

Remember when I said that I love period films?
I really, really do. I don't know what it is about them. Lifestyles from the past were so strict, but for some odd reason, exuded romance. On a whole different level.
Like a really-strict-be-careful-but-still-so-wow kind of level.
And the chivalry, oh the chivalry!
I just watched The Young Victoria. Like 5 times in one week. I loved it.
Music was so beautiful. Storyline was interesting. And the costumes were so pretty!
