you're going to tell me that i'm right

Buffalo Sabres vs. Toronto Maples Leafs. In Buffalo. Black Friday.
Yup. Me and my best buddy went!
I know I went to Buffalo last week, but this is different.
That was for shopping. And girl bonding times. Haha. This was for um... hockey.
And. More Cheesecake Factory consumption. Duh.
(Sidenote: how is their Red Velvet cheesecake so good? I don't understand)
Anyway. We lost. Buzz kill. (BUZZ. KILL.)
But other than that, of course it was FRIGGING wicked. We had pretty wicked seats.
(Also, I would just like to state the fact that 50% of the rink was filled with Toronto fans).
And I had my first Friday off. (WHOOOO.)
AND LASTLY. I need to boast because we did not hit any traffic going to and back.
BLACK FRIDAY TRAFFIC, WHAT? CONQUERED.

can you be believing now

I know everything about you
You know everything about me,
everything about us.

That really has no underlying meaning. I just really like that part.
You guys know my feelings about intense music. Its a yes please for me.
Don't you love... when a song you really love... has a part in it that makes you love it even more?
I realize thats a whole lotta love in one sentence.
But.. um.. I love it!

be like heaven to touch

The weekend:
  • A really amazingly organized and fun surprise party for our big brother Jinileeeee planned by the amazing superwomangirlfriend Suzie Suze <3 (Whatta champ). We played these fun games and she made us individual team stickers. Be still my little heart.
  • Drinking hot choco, watching the boys play hockey (and some of the girls TRY to play hockey)
  • A crazy intense mission of a day-away in Buffalo. We defied and conquered the customs border (one of us forgot our passport but we still somehow ended up in the U S of A), a Macy's sales woman (she either made a mistake and gave us a further discount or we got overly excited for nothing), and.... Urban Outfitters (we basically got some sweet (super sweet) deals). I think Jesus wanted us in Buffalo. I'm pretty certain about it. Oh and P.S When is Canada (specifically Toronto) ever going to get a Cheesecake Factory? Seriously. That shizz is the bomb DIGGS! mmm. Never fails me.
  • The screening of 1040 in Toronto. I was super impressed with the film! Glad I got to see it. You guys should check it out too. Its about the current rapid and forceful Christianity movement in Asia... pretty interesting stuff.
Whatta packed few days.
Aaaand now back to Monday. Sigh. All day at work today, I was so exhausted.
Felt borderline drugged (what I mean by that is I felt SUPER drowsy).
The weekend is for relaxation, but the weekdays are for recovering and then refueling. Ya know?
I love the weekend.

but then again, no

Do you like covers?
I, for the most part, enjoy covers very much.
Ellie Goulding! Isn't she lovely? Isn't this cover lovely also?
I mean, the Moulin Rouge one is pretty badass (I love that movie). But I like how delicate this one is.
Aaaaand. While you're at it, you have to check out this other cover she did too.
That song is grrrreat. And brings me back to one of my summers in London.
(And to that sexy dance scene from Fame. Haha. I know you know which one, don't lie).

ate ice cream in a desert dream

CONFESSION: Starting my new job, I was sort of... nervous... in this whole "business casual" ordeal.
I mean. I like dressing up. To an extent?
Yes, I do understand that this very well could be me subconsciously rejecting and resisting grownuphood.
Its just I don't like feeling restricted in what I can wear. Its just not me. I need to feel freeeeeee.
(Random tangent: A man looks good in a nice suit. But I doubt men actually like wearing suits everyday.
Right? No? Yes? My brother professes that the top button + tie thing gets annoying)
However. I think I've found my groove in my workwear-style.
So, when I came across these from here, I was thinking "This, right here... this is THEE me work outfit".
Essentially what I am trying to say is: I like this. I like the shirt, I like the skirt, I like it all.
(And also that I like men in suits. And ALSO that work wear kinda sucks sometimes).

Okay... I'm not really digging the music video (um... what. is. going. on.)
But, I'm DIGGGGGING the beat.

the cuppycake song

Whilst waiting for this weekend to come (this week seems kinda long boooo),
I'm caught still daydreaming about my really filling weekend that just passed.
What did I do you ask? Well. You mean what did I EAT, right?
I had... the best brunch since I can remember.
(I'm talking brioche, baguette, pain au chocolat, AND CROQUE MADAME! mmm. The good stuff.)
Then went for cupcakes, macarons, and then more cupcakes.
Not just at one place. I mean three different places. I know, I know.
Lets just say... multiple sweet teeth were present. Don't judge.
Yes, all I did was consume. Consume a lot. Consume a lot of yummy stuff.
Now that’s a good weekend, yes?
Yes. I actually had a pretty satisfying Saturday, thank you very much.

P.S And yes, those are Pumpkin Pie macarons that you see in the photo above. Just to confirm. Heeeeey.

the behind

I love these. Its prrrrretty cool. Aren't they cooool?
All of them are shot from... well, behind. (Duh). And in NYC.
I like these ones specifically because of all the ladies' outfits. (There are shots of males too).
Especially the heart-open-back in the first one. Super cool.
There are more here.

you weren't doing it for kicks

As of late, I am mildly obsessed with the cute and quiet little area with the name of Leslieville.
1) They have a small nice vintage store (that isn't too expensive. Um. WHAT!? Hello.)
2) Cute brunch places. Mmm. (More of that later).
3) Lil' Baci. An Italian food restaurant that has THEE Babycake. Whats a babycake, you ask? Its a friggin' amazing cupcake, thats what it is.

My best buddy and I discovered it a few weeks ago, and so I decided to take my two deeeear friends James & Esther (HAPPY BDAY ESTHER!)
... and they loved it.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

P.S Never Let Me Go. Hmmm.
Read the book. Loved the book. Watched the movie. Enh, liked the movie?
(LOVE Carey Mulligan. Like Andrew Garfield. AKA Eduardo. ALWAYS indifferent about Keira Knightley. I don't know what it is about her).
Like I said, I have a bittersweet thing for books-becoming-movies.
I like them to see how someone else visualized it all. I get excited when I read a good book and hear they're coming out with a movie.
But I hate that I always feel that they have cheated in all the small and important details... that well, can only fit into a book. Haha. I am hopeless.

she who exists in all fears and strength in trembling

So I believe this commercial for Prada is like... a good few years old.
Anyway, I just saw it for the first time.
Isn't it wicked? Everything about it is magical. MAGICAL I SAY!
And. Daria Werbowy is just... straight-up lovely.
MAGICAL AND LOVELY.
