though i'm sure that you'd remind me, if you had to

So. You see... what happened was... somehow...
... I ended up with three red velvet cupcakes from three different bakeries. (One, two, three).
One that Esther L. got. One that Reginald got. And one that I got.
Is that crazy? Or no? I guess it kind of sounds a bit intense.
Its because I have nice friends.
But regardless! Imagine my excitement. (Because, I really like red velvet cuppiecakies).
I'm a tough critic when it comes to cupcakes. I take it pretty seriously.
So I wanted to choose a favourite one out of the three, but I can't do it. Its just too difficult!

However. (This is a strong however) I really do suggest you guys try all three places.
Because they're... pretty damn really good.

PS. Happy-end-of-March slash start-of-April. Weird.
This time flying by business is weirding me out, hard.

our hands gripping each other tight, you keep my secrets hope to die

The bittersweet between my teeth
Trying to find the in-betweens
Fall back in love eventually
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

Mmmmmmm. Yeah.

if it can be broke then it can be fixed, if it can be fused then it can be split

1. Khang surprised Selynn with a sushi-boat-cake (a real strawberry cake, but in sushi-boat form - they like sushi) for her birthday.
Was so realistic, it was insane. (Insane in the membrane. Insane in the brain!)
2. We went to Snakes & Lattes (a boardgame cafe) to play for a pre-party for Selynn. That place is very interesting. In a good way.
I think there were approximately one million different games there to explore.
3. Happy Birthday: Yury, Jenni, Andrew, Jeana, Annie, and Selynn (and to everyone else!). Whew March has a lot of beedays.

i, i, i like my beats fast

Weekend post.
Whatta birthday filled weekend month.
Celebrated a different birthday Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
And more to come.
Happy Birthday to all my March-born chingoos.
Birthdays are fun.

PS. Good news friends... Happy First Official Day of Spring. Thats whatsup.
PPS. Mandatory: you all must try Maxim's Cafe Patisserie's strawberry almond meringue cake. It's lifechanging, for serious.

they'll name a city after us

Saw these beautiful shots of Paris on decor8 by swedotorp on etsy.
How lovely.
I feel like I sense a recurring theme here. (Here, here, here, aaand here).
I think its safe to say that I may want to be traveling right now or something?
: )

PS. Happy Friday.

in a very rewarding ménage à trois with fashion

New York Magazine did an article on Scott Schuman (aka The Sartorialist) and Garance Doré.

They are my favourite fashion photography bloggers! And they are in love. Teehee.
He is street style photography OG (i.e original gangsta). I think she is funny and her illustrations, wicked.

Yes, I'm fully aware that this is like, my 100th post on him. I can't help it. I think hes so cool.

PS. The Bachelor. (Don't judge me. I'm an avid watcher). He picked Emily. I like this.
PPS. Let us continue praying for Japan. Sigh.

with a fresh pair of eyes

Composed of photos. Paris, France.
Completely electrifying. aka I think its sick.
And for song choice, I give it two thumbs up. I'd give it three, if I had three.

you are my sweetest downfall

I really love this blog: london vs paris.
Two people. Two countries. Two photos of one item.
I think I'm really into city-comparison via visual images...
And damnit, I know I say this all the time, but I really miss London.

barely tolerable, i dare say

My lovely Saturday with Yury and Esther...
Pulled pork sandwiches. Homemade icecream. Yummy pastries on St. Clair West.
Not too shabby. I approve of any place that encourages enormous amounts of ketchup consumption.
To conclude it all, we watched one of my most favourite films (and books) of all, all, ALL time.
I know its corny to say, but my heart tingles every time I watch it, especially that last scene.
Mr. Darcy and Lizzie is the perfect finale to our lazy, random, but wonderful Saturday.

if i should tumble, if i should fall

So. How wicked is this? Wicked and brilliant.
This gigantor 3:1 scale model of the holga camera was designed by an Industrial Design student from Israel, Gil Adam.
It was a first year project for his studies - to remake an oversized replica of an object. And it looks pretty darn close.
Hm. I'm imagining how crazy taking pictures on this thing would be, if it could take pictures.
Anyway TGIF. Whooooo.

dans un petit restaurant

Wow. These commercials are... 24K gold.
I enjoy how they encapsulate all the small lovely things.
So well done. I love the typography. I like... everything about them actually.
I miss London. I want to re-visit Paris. And I definitely wish I was traveling right now.
Sigh.
