we went apple picking!
... at the end of apple picking season.
pro: get the whole orchard to yourselves (this is a big plus).
con: not a lot of apple selection.
but. apple picking! i like apple picking.

and apple orchards always have pumpkin patches.
which is another plus.

but here it is, the simple task

this, my friends, was the delicious concoction... that is, oatmeal buttermilk pancake with a pumpkin cream cheese topping.

so i watched two movies last week.

although drive really was not, at all, what i expected... i was seriously feeling the soundtrack.

ugh monday. oh, monday.
im seriously contemplating if i should use up the rest of my vacay days
on taking one day a week off until the end of the year.
i know it sounds a bit wasteful. but its so tempting.

anyway.
my sister left for the uk again yesterday. boo.
and the weather is getting cold. slightly weird. as it was being all confused and bi-polar just a bit ago.
chilly. dark. sun. warm. really sunny. really warm. rain. cool. wind. temperature drop. legit cold.
hello autumn.
i like you, but i'm mildly scared for your sister named winter.

last friday.
a day off. with the sister.
entails.
brunch. cupcakes. pumpkins. shopping. queen street west to east.
plus a night complete with the brother. the three of us.
more shopping. dinner. a concert. and drinks for rudy's birthday.

what a great day.

ps. for the record, explosions in the sky was absolutely wicked.
just mindblowingly, intensely, emotionally, amazing.
i was replaying flashbacks from this in my mind.

we had our fall church retreat this past weekend.
i only got to attend half of it. but was fun nonetheless.
paddleboating during sunset.
smores and cup ramyun at night.
and... euchre until 4am.

birthday.
a day at work.
followed by a nap.
followed by a catch up dinner with my rudypoo.
followed by a james blake gig (he is awesome).
followed by a relentless midnight search for fish tacos with reginald (failed).
ending with a reunion with my sister. who is visiting from the uk. yay!
long, packed, but fun day.
